How it works

One skill at a time. Move on when you've got it.

The same mastery method used by the best private programs, for a fraction of the price, with help built into every lesson.

  1. Find the real starting point

A short check per subject moves up or down until it finds where understanding is solid. It's normal to land at different levels in different subjects.

  2. Get a personal path

The essential skills for each subject and grade, in the right order for you. Gaps from earlier grades get filled first so harder material actually sticks.

  3. Learn one skill at a time

Each lesson explains the skill, shows a worked example one step at a time, and offers a hint or a second explanation whenever you get stuck.

  4. Tap any word you don't understand

Every word opens into a definition at your reading level and an example, read aloud, with a picture when one fits.

  5. Move on when you've got it

Nine out of ten on fresh problems means you've got it. Miss it, and the lesson works the exact piece you missed, then tries again with new problems.

  6. See it at a glance

Parents get a simple dashboard: where each subject stands, open gaps, awards, and the words their child looked up.

Tap any word

Never confused. Never embarrassed to ask.

Any word, anywhere in a lesson. Double-tap it, right-click it, or press and hold. The explanation matches your reading level and the example uses whatever the lesson is about. Tap the same word three times in a week and it becomes its own practice.

A child's finger tapping a highlighted word on a tablet

One tap. No shame. No stopping.

A single unknown word can stop a whole lesson. Here it opens into a picture, a definition you can hear, an example from the page you are on. Then you keep going.

At your level

Four reading levels, from age 5 to adult. The same word, explained the way you can take it in, and read aloud with one tap.

A picture when it helps

Many words come with a real photo. When no picture truly fits, none is shown, because a wrong picture is worse than no picture.

Explain it another way

If the first explanation doesn't land, the lesson offers another way to see it, then walks the worked example one step at a time. Every look-up is saved so gaps show up before the test does.

Who it's for

Any age. Any starting point.

Most programs refuse kids under 8 and stop at 8th grade. Kindergarten through Grade 4 is ready now, in all five subjects. Higher grades come next.

Questions

Straight answers

Is this a school?

This is a learning program you pair with your state's homeschool rules, not a school of record. It does not issue a transcript or a diploma.

Is it only for kids?

For now, yes. Every lesson today is Kindergarten through Grade 4. Teen and adult lessons are not built yet.

Do I need to teach my child?

No. Your job is a quiet space, a routine, and encouragement. The lessons teach, and the dashboard shows how it is going.

How many hours a day?

There is no timer and no required length. Progress saves after every answer, so a learner can stop and pick up later.

Is there a live tutor?

No, and we will not pretend otherwise. Help is built into each lesson: a hint, a second way of explaining it, then the worked example one step at a time. There is no live chat and no human tutor.

What devices work?

Any modern browser: iPad, Chromebook, Mac, Windows, Android, or a phone. An internet connection is needed.

Can my child go faster than a grade a year?

Yes. The moment a skill is mastered, the next one unlocks. Nothing about it costs extra.

Can I use ESA money?

Not yet. Learning Beyond is not an approved Education Savings Account vendor in any state today.
